Both me and my parents have had there windows installed we had some slight problems (there was a slight draft coming from it)with the front door due to our house being over 100 years old and no two doors being the same size and they alster width and height depending on the season they came out and adjusted it without a question. They also gave me extra window sill covering for nothing. kirky 08-04-2005, 08:06 avoid safe style like the plague..i'll not bore you as ive posted it before but the are total ***** viking 08-04-2005, 08:18 THIS THREAD (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13110&highlight=yorkshire) Might be useful. Magneteer 08-04-2005, 10:20 I can only back up what Kirky has already said. DO NOT GO NEAR SAFESTYLE. thomsongirl 08-04-2005, 12:38 We had Chapeltown Glass Company. They give you a quote and leave you alone, will also recommend the best style of windows to fit the look of your house. Also been told the Loxley Windows and Sheffield Window Company are good. I personally didn't like the Yorkshire windows people (mentioned on the other thread), they gave an expensive quote and did the hard sell. Took us 3 hours to get him out of our house, and by that time they had dropped the price 3 times! rigsby 08-04-2005, 12:51 U-FIX-IT on London Road, my parents used them, they took about 5 mins to measure her house then after giving her the price the next day left her to decide if she wanted to take it any further. She had them done about 5 months later and they look good to me but im not a professional so dont blame me. the number is 01142 434323 |
