Today's group on (http://www.groupon.co.uk/in/.Smqrv0/ 143294?nlp ) deal in Sheffield is for £12 for £30 worth of traditional sushi for two people at Sakushi.

ive got my voucher and very much looking forward to a visit....if i cant find someone as openminded as me about raw fish, can i just eat it all myself?:hihi:

x

Me too. Although this is not my favourite sushi restaurant £12 for £30 of food is not to be missed. That's a meal out for £6 each plus drinks. Not bad!

Ta for that.
Hopefully it won't be like the Fancie fiasco.
Sakushi used to do a "buy one get one free" offer through dealhound, so I suppose 60% instead of 50% will be ok for them.
Unless like Fancie, they decide to make it only 25% off and blame it on others.
I think Sakushi are better than that.

I've just bought that voucher too from Groupon. I'm hoping to convert my OH to the delights of sushi without scaring him too much as it's his first time. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone.

There will be no problem using your vouchers but please remember you must book before you come. We dont want to dissappoint anybody. We have already had several bookings everyday leading up to christmas, leaving little space in the evenings. For this reason we have extended the voucher expiry date to 6 months rather than 3 months.

hope to see you soon

Nice one. Think our gert (as she loves to be called) may have bought 2. I still can't see it taking over 3 months to use them, but you never know. Reckon they'll be used by Christmas.

My girlfriend and I used to go there a lot. But recently they've increased their prices, and reduced the portion sizes. The food was always amazingly tasty, but not a good deal any more imo...

myself and dark_moomin have just set a record! the longest meal ever in Sakushi! lol weighing in at nearly 3 and a quarter hours....but no free meal prize! :o ;)

not to worry, dinner was great as was the fab ice cream from Yee Kwan ...green tea and black sesame, sounds wrong, but oh so right! :D

well we probably did more talking than eating...:help:

it has been a long time since weve had a proper catch up which was as much the point of the visit as the food.

if i needed a place for a very quick pitstop, it would be super and much more enjoyable than sandwich.

One of my favourite places in Sheffield. It's started to become my staple pre-work meal on a Friday afternoon!

I took advantage of the 30% discount offer and made my first visit last night as my son has developed a taste for raw fish and wasabi. We quickly wolfed down 5 plates each - very satisfying fast food! The quality was excellent, with a good range of plates on the conveyor for a fairly quiet Tuesday night.

A return visit for the big sashimi platter before the end of January might be on the cards...

Went last saturday with my OH. He enjoyed it considering it was his first venture in to sushi.

Food was lovely, we sat around the convoyer belt and everything was great. Will go again, but still prefer Yama Sushi.

Has Yama improved, I've not been back since they charged me for ginger to go with my sashimi.

There's a new groupon offer for this place, 10 plates to the value of £38 for £15.

Menu looks very tempting.

Bizarrely, the offer is for 'new customers only'. You might have to go in disguise if you have been before!

We went tonight with our groupon voucher and managed to put away twelve dishes of sushi plus ice cream. I had the black sesame which was lovely and rivelin6 had the lychee ice cream.

It was really nice but we'd like to go back sometime and try different things from the menu.

Hey Everyone,

We have some fantastic new offers for you all to try this month.

First of all this Saturday if you dine at Sakushi after 5pm everyone gets a free glass of champagne. Please book as we are filling up fast 01142737399.

On Sundays due to high demand we have decided to start an 'all you can' we hate that term but its the best way to explain it! The difference being we do not premake anything, all dishes are fresh to order and you can help yourself to as much sushi as you like from the conveyor belt. If its not on the belt ORDER IT. No silly terms and conditions that you may see at other places, just a few obvious ones.

For full details on our new offers and POCHPOCHA Sunday terms and conditions visit http://www.sakushi.co.uk/restaurant/offers.php?PHPSESSID=a8b12dab26a2d8a72b902ee5f52ca 00d

hope to see you soon
