I attended last Thursdays the amateur bxing night organised by Handsworth Amateur boxing club held at Manor Social Club.
Sheffield fought Dublin and it was an excellent well organised evening with a full list of bouts between suitably matched lads trying their best.
I guess the reason I post this is just to say a big thank you to the organisers and indeed all the people who put in their own time and effort to work with our youth.
This and other clubs around our cities and towns provide somewhere young people can get discipline and raise their self esteem.
Great work folks keep it up, I will certainly go the next event, cant wait.

Sounds like a good evening emerald eye. It would be nice if the amateur boxers would let more people on the forum know what is happening. That way, people like myself could come along and enjoy a good night out.

As far as im aware they only coach individuals who may be intretsed in competing at amatuer level

I agree Emerald Eye, I was at the event and it was a great night, very well organised and the fights were very good, all the fighters did well and I to can't wait for the next one :):)
