New City living experience for Cathedral Quarter
A semi-derelict site on Campo Lane in the City Centre Conservation Area is set to be transformed into a block of 50 apartments, in the Cathedral Quarter’s first major investment in city living.
Planning permission has been granted today by the City Centre and East Planning and Highways Board for the half acre site on the corner of Campo Lane and Vicar Lane.
The ground floor of the seven storey building will have shops, offices and a bar or cafes. There’ll also be parking for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
Cllr Peter Price, Chair of the City Centre and East Planning and Highways Board said: “This is the first major investment in city living in the Cathedral Quarter. It will bring more life and vitality to this part of the city centre and will stimulate further interest in the area.”
