Hey guy's and gal's

I have a beautiful 8mth old corn snake. The problem is she's real skittish as the guy at the reptile shop say's he hasn been able to handle them much.
She was fine the first few days with being handled but now she's like lightning and i don't want to stress her out by keep trying to handle her.
So iv been talking to her and having my hand in her little starter tank so she can get used to my hand and hopefully come to me.

Can anyone else offer me advice or am i doing the right thing by doing what im doing.

Mine was quite skitty when we got her, i just kept handling her every day for about 5 mins a time, this meant that she wasn't getting too stressed and with daily handling she soon became used to me and tame.
