Hi,
Well where to start? I have 4 rats. 2 girls and a boy and a hermaphrodite diagnosed by a vet. These links advice more about the hermaphrodites story (an interesting read). Mods please feel free to remove links if deemed inappropriate.

Anyway from the advice of the people on the forum above and several others, I have come to suspect that the hermaphrodite is a girl and is possibly pregnant. I need an extra cage to now house my boy in just in case. I am asking around my friends and also if anyone on here is getting rid of a cage I would be really grateful if you could pass it on to me for free or a fee. I will pop down to PAH in an hour or so if I get no response. Thought I would ask here first as they are quite pricey there. Thanks for reading:)

We have a small rat cage, probably wouldn't be a permanent fixture for you because of the size, but we had to get it when the same thing happened to us. Would accept £10 with some accessories, or £5 and a baby when they are due!

I would ask on here too www.fancy-rats.co.uk/community - someone may well have a spare cage they could lend you as it has a large readership (looks like you're sorted though!). Good luck - please try to rehome the babies (assuming she is pregnant of course!) in pairs or more so no ratties end up alone or without playmates their own age. :)
