I was thinking to myself last night, what would I do if we needed to see a vet as a emergency in the middle of the night or on a sunday etc, does anybody know where you go or what you do?
Hopefully I will never need to use the service but I like to be prepared.

Lots of vets use the "Vets Now" service, which uses the PDSA building out of hours (Its still on Newhall Road at Attercliffe) It's very expensive though... website is http://www.vets-now.com/

You can check with your own vet, they will tell you which one they use, of course you are not forced to use that one :)
see my signature if you need transport.
If you have to use Vets now, it is £100 just to be seen. We had to take our accident prone cat there a week and a half ago as we think he was attacked by a dog and had come home with a leg swollen to twice the size it should of been and covered in blood. Althought they were expensive they were very good and didn't do any unessary tests or try to get as much money out of us as they could. It was worth it though as he was much happier after painkillers and we were happier knowing he had been checked over throughly.
Peak vets in Woodseats do their own 24 hour cover so its worth joining there.

Do you pay an out of hours fee for that service teeny or is it just their normal fees?
