How have they not died out through starvation?
I've just been watching Billy lining up to kill some fluff. First he finds a vantage point, positioning ears to front facing full alert. Secondly he lowers his head and raises his bum. Thirdly he wiggles his bum whilst sort of running on the spot with his back legs.
Then he decides his vantage isn't quite right and finds another chair leg to start the first section of the maneuver again.
Eventually he launches and pats the fluff on his way past it only to end up in the bedroom kicking himself in the chin.
How can this actually work when hunting in the wild? Unless the prey falls down dead laughing at him I strongly suspect he would have zero success and never eat a thing.
