My cat has a really wet nose. It has been like this for as long as I can remember. He is 10 months old. I have another cat and hers isn't the same. I assumed it was cold, but surely the other cat would have gotten it and it woudln't have lasted so long....? A couple of friends have commented on this, and when he comes close to my face, I can see he has a transparant liquid coming off it (which I assume is snot :gag:). Should I get him to a vets? Or is it common?
In dogs, a wet, cold nose means they're very healthy.
Might be the same for cats? Not sure..

Try licking it off. If it is salty its snot; If it is bitter it might be vodka or Gin.
It's normal for some cats so don't worry about it unless the cat is otherwise unwell, or has a snotty nose, runny eyes or other signs of infection.
Whether the nose is wet or dry is neither a sign of health nor illness in cats really.
One of mine is the same and is rather fond of shoving it places no cat nose should really be shoved. Some cats are droolers so all in all it's not as bad as it could be.
Smudge has a wet nose and Smitch doesn't. Been like it since kittens and they're both healthy 10 year olds :D
