View Full Version : Stanley off colour after vet visit today - why?

Hello

I took my cat Stanley to the vet today for his annual booster and ever since we have been home (since 11am) he has been sleeping pretty much constantly and been really down and disinterested in everything, including food!!

I gave him his tea at 6pm as usual and he normally goes mad for it - he hasn't touched it! I have tried to give him fresh chicken and his absolute favourite treats and he isn't interested which is SO unlike him, especially when he hasn't even had his tea!!

I am really worried as he just isn't being "normal".

Please can anyone give me any advice? Am I just being an over paranoid cat mum?

Thanks

Vaccinations can make them feel a bit off colour for a day or two- much like we can feel after a flu injection.

If he picks up tomorrow or Monday then there's probably nothing at all to worry about. If not then I'm sure that the vet would be happy to reassure you or see him again.

Thanks Medusa, I feel much better after reading your post! I'll keep a close eye on him, hopefully he'll be back to normal soon.

When we take Ruby to the vets she just gets the face on for the rest of the day, hides from us and wont come anywhere near us!
