I have a laptop connected wirelessly to the net via a router.
My PC is connected to the router with an ethernet cable.
Yesterday evening I could connect to the net from the laptop and the PC but this morning...nothing. neither PC nor laptop would connect.
I can see the router (and others in the area) using the laptop but on trying to connect it says it can't find an IP addresss.
All the lights on the router are on as they should be.
Last thing last night I ran CC cleaner, spybot and disc defrag on the PC but not on the laptop, could this be the cause?
I am using W XP SP3.
I am on the net to SF using a usb modem which I have reinstalled on the PC.
Over the last couple of days my connection to SF and other sites have been getting so slow that they sometimes "time out"
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Edit: I did a system restore to no avail.

Left it off overnight having unplugged everything, booted and lo and behold.......many thanks
