As a child (which will only be 12 years ago) i remember visting a play area in the wortley thurgoland area and for old time sake i wanted to visit it but i can't for the life of me remember where it is. The area included tire swings etc...... can anyone help me?

r u sure it wasn't Hesley Wood Scout Camp, near Chapletown (Rotherham), it is open sometimes i think to kids other than the scout movements. But i dont know about Thurgoland, but it only has a playground i think

There is a play area in Cranemoor which is the next village on from Wortley and just before Thurgoland that used to have swings with tyres also at the bottom of the village there was a tarzan swing that all the kids used to play on.
