Hi everyone, I have just finished knocking a wall down at work today and discovered several small lizards. The only trouble is neither me or my colleague were sure exactly what they are.
They are 10cm approx and have long thin tails with a red and black mottled belly.
Our instant though was a newt, but Im sure a newt should have a fat tail to aid swimming.
Any ideas???

Please becareful with them you are not allowed to distroy there habitat, we have them in our pond and if we distroyed where they live we would be fined £5000! contact your local council, we did and someone came out to see if they was all ok and what the best thing to do for them was etc.
