cressida 22-05-2008, 15:37 I went into Manchester and had lunch at the Cafe Rouge with one of my sons, I had a steak with seasoned mash potatoes and it was al fresco and delicious, as was the cafe latte. I then went shopping and bought a top and a ring.

She's good considering.
She's been back on her thread to let everyone know what's happening but as you can imagine she's been a bit busy and distracted of late.
We took her mind off things today though, I was dafter than usual!:hihi:

I took the dogs out in the sunshine for a walk just outside Loxley. That was the purpose of my day.
I think tomorrow we'll go out into the Peak District for our walk. There have to be some good points to being too ill to work and getting rained on in an assortment of beautiful places is one of them. Another is getting to sleep in if I want to (and I usually want to).
cressida 22-05-2008, 22:54 Medusa, my brother lives in Wildboarclough, he gets a lot of ramblers, and there is a lovely little church nearby, Lord Derby has a huge house at the back, and next door to my brother's house is the Old Post House - a listed building - do you ever get up that way?

I'm hoping the weather will be good enough to get out on Sunday, I need to have a day of contemplation.

I can believe that, if his hands are a blur!!
Yes, I've been to Ironbridge, some years ago, would like to go again. The claim that the Industrial revolution started there has been contested by other places (depends how you define it, I suppose), but there is no doubt it was a seminal site for the development of important technologies.
