View Full Version : I need to find a hopskotch!
franc1987 04-04-2005, 18:22 Hi
This will sound a really strange query but does anyone know a park or a public place preferably in S6 or surrounding area that has a hopskotch? I need to take a few pictures of one for my photography exam. The one i planned to take a picture of has fallen through as it was at work and i am not due back there for a few weeks. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
There's one outside Sacred Heart school hall on Ripley Street. It's not public but the yard is open most days. Ring the priest if it's locked.

It's common. But the book you're thinking of is Chinese CInderella (a version of Falling Leaves). Remember when we all read this book and the twins started their Japan craze? Back in the day! Aah!
cgksheff 05-04-2005, 07:41 Just be careful while lurking around school playgrounds with your camera!!!!:D
....... otherwise Sacred Heart might not be the only weird name we hear about!

The best way to avoid this would be to talk to the school directly. Ask if you can take the pictures, and if they say yes, ask if a teacher could stand with you while you're doing so. That way you're not just someone stood there with a camera in a school yard - you at least have someone to vouch for you who works at the school.
Maybe if you apply to the Council for Clearance Form 5846971jtf/2248/378 and then get a Police Clearance Form 597256/47tek/6357 , you can then apply to the Education Authorities for clearance to contact the school.
'Phone the school in question and arrange for Special Escort Services so that your activities within the school can be monitored. Submit your passport and 3 proofs of identity and a password [3 copies] to the SchoolVisits office and it's as simple as that ! Your visit should be trouble-free.
Have a nice day !
Franc I'm not absolutely certain on this but I think there's one in the playground in Burton Street - I don't think this school is used as a primary school. I've only been in in the evenings and that's a few years ago now - my daughter (and myself for a while) attended karate lessons there. It's the one near David Ford's and they used that school in The Full Monty. Just a thought.
Scotia - there isn't (and never has been) a school on the roundabout at Firth Park - could it be the methodist church you're thinking of?
