View Full Version : Meet the family with Dick and Dom
After watching a couple of mins I had to turn over it was sooooo naff ! Anyone out there liking it ?
Bit of a shame as the bungalow programme they do is ok at times :suspect:
It is, without a doubt, one of the most sublimely moronic television programmes of all time.
watch dik and dom in da bungalow sometimes because its funny how wasted they are
metalman 04-04-2005, 19:14 Robert Robinson must be turning in his grave. If he's dead, that is.
Dick and Dom must be the funniest people on TV. That bungalow thing they do is comic genius.
I think they try too hard?
The boogey thing was funny at first. Kids obviously like it though so no harm I suppose....
tommygswfc 05-04-2005, 14:48 The bungalow thing thy do is not comic genius it`s ****
and this is a kid talking
I think its depends on your sense of humuor. It doesn't make me laugh I think its slightly tacky but I bet the kids in there enjoy it anyway!
LottieWat 05-04-2005, 15:23 I take it we're all aware that Dick is from Sheffield? He went to Tapton School a few years after I did. Even that won't get me to watch it.

Stop using language like that if your a kid! Little bleeder!
Dick and Dom are a young Vic and Bob simple as that. It's the only thing the BBC has got that's any good:o
I remember Richard (Dick) when he worked at the Children's hospital....he did the kids radio there!!
He was never funny then....don't know how he got to where he is today!!
It is an insult to Vic and Bob to compare these jokers to them!!
Neither will they be the new Ant & Dec....I'd suggest sending them to Australia to join 'The Wiggles'!!!!
NEKRO138 07-04-2005, 15:36 Vic n Bob are my all time favourite comedians. Ant and Dec are Lousy. Dick and Dom are good. The Wiggles are awful as well. I saw them on a Steve Irwin programme. They were a proper bunch of *****.
Hope that's cleared a few things up!
Did you know......The wiggles are worth £18 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:loopy:
Vic Reeves's 1st wife went to the same school as me and had a horse at the stables I worked at on weekends!!!
I think she is a lesbian now!!
zombiekillah 10-04-2005, 19:38 ugh dick and dom .... the wiggles ... arghhhh theyre all terrible! absolutely cant stand dick n dom , bring back live n kicking thats what i say, much better show ....
and how can dick and dom possibly be compared with vic and bob!
What is up with you people? Dick and Dom are good at what they do, the kids love em! They're not meant for and adult audience, its for the kids and they love the madness, gunge and free use of the words bogies and fart!
The BBC are to axe the show after the end of the 5 part series. Now they still have a hole to fill since The Simpsons left

What do u think they should replace it with ?

It is absolutely terrible - I rather unfortunately caught a few seconds of this inane drivel, whilst trying to search for more inane drivel that can be found on our NTL box.
:)

The BBC are the most dedicated people I know, they proved it last night by sucking my....... They could always show some more 'Only fools and horses'
metalman 08-06-2005, 06:39 Hmm. How curious. In the BBC news story linked above it says:
"But ratings slipped from 1m for the launch programme, to just 700,000 - only one in 25 of the available audience - towards the end."
And in this other BBC news story from April that comes up in a link at the side of that one, we find:
"Ratings for the revival of quiz show Ask the Family on BBC Two are back on course after a "blip" which saw them fall to 700,000.
Fronted by children's TV duo Dick and Dom, the show is now back to the one million viewers it received when it launched, Wednesday's ratings show.
A BBC spokeswoman said the fall was a "blip" but they now are rising again."
Nothing like trying to talk up your own programme, eh?
PS You can stop turning now Robert. Assuming you're still dead.
