Last week I had to have Tinks the cat to vets, he was being sick with blood in it. This week Josh has once again got the runs for no known reason. This morning I found on the back lawn a lamb bone, cooked. We dont eat lamb. Now the cats were in last night so it wasnt them that dragged it from somewhere and bearing in mind we have 8 foot fences all around our garden. Anyway off to vets with Josh this morning for blood tests and to send the pooh samples off, got back and took him down garden for a play. There on the lawn was a citronella candle:huh:
I am suspiciously wondering if they are being thrown over with the intent of causing damage to the dog and cats. I once had a bitch poisoned by a neighbour and am very cautious..
Now we get on well with our neighbour, live and let live, we have a dog and cats they have teenage sons - nuff said. But I am wondering whether to go round tonight or whether to leave it.
I begin to wonder if there is stuff being thrown over that I havent seen, Josh is always routing about in the hedge and I just thought he was being horrid and looking for cat pooh, but maybe not:suspect:

That doesn't sound good. My neighbours on one side are horrid with my cats, throw stones at them, squirt water, bang on windows etc cos they DARE to walk across their garden. I must have not quite explained myself properly to my cats that they must walk ROUND the neighbours garden, and down our own drive instead of cutting thru :loopy:
If you get on well with the neighbours, there's no reason why you shouldn't pop round and ask them if they've seen anyone throwing stuff into your garden. That way, you're not accusing THEM, but making them aware you've seen stuff. I would also hint that if I kept finding things in my garden, I would have to call the RSPCA and ask them to investigate, as someone is clearly trying to hurt my animals. It might just worry them enough to stop doing it. I did that when my neighbours put spikes sticking up from their garden. Made it clear that if my kids or animals were hurt thru their selfish actions of trying to stop my cats going on their garden (at the time, there were no defining bounderies as the gardens were all open plan) that i would be reporting them to the police and the RSPCA. I'm sure neither the cops or the RSPCA could have done much about it, but they stopped putting the spikes there so they obviosuly got worried :hihi: HTH

I hope your pets are ok, does sound a bit suss:suspect::suspect:
I think SpeedDemons approach is the best way to go, then it isn`t going to start a feud.
You could also say that you`re gonna/or have set up cctv on the garden so you can catch the culprits. The thought of being caught on camera might stop them(if it is them).

Well, could just be the lads throwing things about, my suspicious mind. Yes I think its worth a visit and nicely explain that bones like that could cause major damage to the dogs inside, they arent bad lads, just lads.
Regarding whether the rspca or police would do anything, the short answer is NO, when Gina was poisoned (different address and real Mad woman next door) the rspca wouldnt come out and the police said unless I saw the neighbour in the act then they could do nothing, I ranted on a bit and said did the dog have to die next time, and the young copper said well he would just nip next door and ask if they had seen anything. Useless really!
Thanks for concern though

No, i didn't think they would do anything. But my neighbours didn't know that, and the threat of being reported was enough to stop the evil old git trying to spike my cats ;)

Just got Joshs tests back and its Hepititis..so nothing to do with neighbours, my suspicious mind. However someone did suggest it could be crows and funnily enough this morning there were crows on the roof giving off a racket, my neighbour barbeques a lot so perhaps they were just sorting through rubbish.

Really worried about Josh tho
