I am a damsel in distress and need a cheap mechanic to sort out my **** car (which i love).

I recently took my Citroen AX spree (stop laughing!) for its MOT and was gutted to hear that the work was gonna cost me more than i can afford.

I do not get paid a lot and the only reason i can afford this car is because its old, tiny, and a little bit ****. Plus it uses not much petrol. Having to get rid of it will mean sadness and no car for a long time!

I am looking for someone who can fix it for a reasonable price, or someone with a suggestion of what i can do with it if fixing is out of the question (am I just asking for an insult by putting that?). I am including the full list of what is wrong with it so that people may be able to give me a quote. Some of the stuff I will need to do myself e.g. tyres, and can probably sort out the lights myself too, but here's the list:

-Both brake lights not working (might just be bulb issue, if so will sort it myself).
-Offside rear position lamp adversely affected by the operation of another lamp.
-Offside outer front constant velocity gaiter split.
-Nearside and offside suspension arms have excessive play in track control arm inner bush
-nearside front suspension joint has excessive play in outer ball joint
-tyre tread issue (will probably need to sort out myself)
-Both brake hoses excessively deteriorated.

I'm willing to try scrap yards etc. for pieces if necessary but only free this weekend to get pieces so will need to know by Friday.

If you try and reference your manual for the right parts in your model, you can purchase them from gsfcarparts.com - its all very cheap! Bushes are £5, brake hoses £8. A suitable garage should fit it all quite cheap :)

From looking on the web its 180/65/15, but im not sure thats right seems abit too wide!
UPD: I think its 145/70/13

All those jobs are relatively straight forward with a worshop manual, some know how, tools & time. If she bought all the right parts required and took it to a fair mechanic (possibly flashing a bit of cleavage) and a nice smile they'll sort it out at a good price. Only problem is these days many mechanics are just too busy to do nice gestures like this. My auntie (lives nowhere near here unfortunately) has used the same lovely bloke ('lovely wee dan') for years who seems to charge her £20 for a service and MOT (which ofcourse she gives him a lot more) and similarly low prices for repairs. They're rare.
