has anyone double barreled there surname after marriage how hard was it to do or do you just need your marriage certificate.

I think you have to change it by deed poll. I was considering this and this is what I was advised. Marriage cert only gives you the right to take H2Bs name.

have been ringing round and have been told by all my bank ect that i can use my marriage cert as proof to double barrel. will do it by deed poll if i come to any difficulty, hve spoken to passport office as well and they say they will except marriage certificate for it.

i double barelled mine after i got married in august and all i needed was my birth certifiacte, my husband did his too and he didnt have a problem, we both changed everything, passport,bank,driving licience
