Noticed it last night. It's his back right leg. He wasn't putting his weight on it last night but is today but still has a limp. Also when he puts it down his back legs shake. Any ideas what this could be? Oh he doesn't mind me touching or rubbing it.

hmm tis odd...

I would've said it's cramp but it doesn't usually last that long. Do you think he could've pulled or twisted it a bit when doing too much?

I'm not sure it seemed to come on when he got off the chair that he had been laying on for a long time. He went for a groom this afternoon & they couldn't see anything. I'm thinking if he's still limping tomorrow to book an appointment with the vets.

Yeah always worth getting it checked out. Especially as he's an oldie. Perhaps he's just laid on it funny and it's a bit stiff? Sometimes if I lay on my arm funny or my neck it's stiff for a couple of days.

Poor old chap - give him a cuddle from me :D

Ailsa sometimes gets this- more so after she's been giddy in the park- comes home right as rtain, lays down and when she later gets up, holds her back leg off the floor. Doesnt yelp or show any sign of pain when you inspect it though. Vets werent sure if it was cruciate ligament, cramp or whatever - she went to have an xray but they decided not to do it in the end because she was much improved after spending most of a day at he surgery! Doesnt happen often now butif it does she has Metacam, that seems to do the trick and put her back on all 4s. We monitor her exercise now and don't let her rush around as much as she used to. Hope Yoda is feeling better

Thank you all. Yoda's limp has just about gone. Looking into getting him some joint care. He sends sloppy wet kisses to all of you :D
