Radio is free, listening to it means listening to music for free - is this undermining the industry too?

well no because the bands still receive the royalties for the broadcasting of the music. Its hard enough getting anywhere in the music world without everyone downloading stuff for free. I'm not too worried about the giants of the industry here.

Well, speaking for myself personally, I didn't buy singles or albums before MP3s and I haven't done since my first MP3 downloads 7 - 8 years ago. The only difference is I listen to music * at all * rather than just not at all. Net effect on the music industry? Zero.
tim if u can get something for nothing...take it! it doesnt happen very often.
its hard enough for anyone to get to where they want to be, u have stuggles all the way, but u have to keep on going.

Good for you.
miniminch 28-05-2005, 10:33 please remember that downloading MP3 files damages the music industry - so do it early, often and cheerfully...
