being an oldie ive only just got myself an MP3 player - can anyone recommend some good (legit) music download sites? Im particularly looking for one that may specialise in 80's music as Ive just found the artist and title of a song Ive been hunting for for nearly 15 years!
cheers

Radio is free, listening to it means listening to music for free - is this undermining the industry too?

well no because the bands still receive the royalties for the broadcasting of the music. Its hard enough getting anywhere in the music world without everyone downloading stuff for free. I'm not too worried about the giants of the industry here.

Well, speaking for myself personally, I didn't buy singles or albums before MP3s and I haven't done since my first MP3 downloads 7 - 8 years ago. The only difference is I listen to music * at all * rather than just not at all. Net effect on the music industry? Zero.

please remember that downloading MP3 files damages the music industry - so do it early, often and cheerfully...
