I need to find travel insurance for a 10 day trip to Europe. Sounds simple but I'm takin warfarin which obviously causes a bit of anxiety for insurers. Can anyone reccommend an insurance company that they've used for something similar?

Thanks in advance

www.insureandgo.co.uk might be worth a shot!

You could try Medi-cover, travel insurance for people with illness etc. www.medi-cover.co.uk or ring 0870 7353600. Hope you get sorted ok.

Maybe worth noting.....but does your insurance cover 'under the influence of alcohol????????'

I recently encountered a family forced into debt as a result of their teenage son falling off a sea wall in Greece - a result of 'horseplay due to drinking'!!

The holiday insurance policy became null and void due to the medics noting he was 'drunk' on arrival at hospital.

Huge medical bills followed.....some cheap insurance policies apparantly exclude this...

BEWARE...who goes on holiday to stay sober....especially the teens!!

I think you'll find medi-cover ridiculously expensive. Well they were when my husband had Gall stones. The one we used (and still do, although my husband has had his gall bladder out now so is fine) is called "under the sun". I think the url is www.underthesun.co.uk you will have to phone them about the warfarin but we found them very reasonably priced considering.

Try Norwich Union Direct; my Mom has diabetes, and gets cover without a problem. I believe their decision to cover or not is based upon if the condition has caused hospitalisation in the last 12 months.

You could try endsleigh, I found them to be very helpful with a similar problem I had over the summer. Good luck!
