Our satellite signal keeps going and its starting to really annoy me, it began during Soccer AM yesterday which was a real blow. Is anyone else in West One having these problems or is it just my system. I'd just like to know before I go and get someone on the roof to have a look at the dish.

It's funny you should say that - I've had this problem for a few weeks now on my Sky. I thought it was a problem with my digibox overheating or something.
I'm renting in Doncaster at the moment but haven't got a technician out yet as I'm moving to Rotherham soon.

Weird and annoying problem!

I only mentioned West One because they all share a dish (I think).
I wondered if other people had the same problem, if they had then the dish could have blown slightly off track (or whatever the technical term is), if they had no problems it's probably my box.

Same problems at Kingswood Hall.

We've had the engineers out several times, changed the dish twice but the signal still keeps going.

Myself and a neighbour have the old Grundig box which i think could be the problem. My neighbour had Sky out on Sunday and they replaced his box with a Panasonic one and all is fine now. He has good signal strength/quality whereas he didn't before.

The Sky engineer said the old Grundig box is not really up to the job on a communal system.

I think i'm going to do the same cos i've been having problems since moving in a year ago.

And yes, it's very frustrating.

I already have the Panasonic box but it still looses signal. Not done it since Sunday though so hopefully it should be OK now, fingers crossed.

You're lucky then cos whenever mine went off, it never came back on. Not until the engineers came to sort it anyhow, which meant constantly taking time off work.

The only problem I had with sky was finding something decent to watch- too much football and crappy repeats. The old analogue version was much better, the rock music on the German channels was superb. Now consigned to the bin .

Mine doesn't come back on until I unplug the box for 10 seconds and then plug it back in, even then it doesn't always work.

The German channels did have a certain appeal when I was about 12 I must admit. I do however feel that there can never be enough football to watch.
