View Full Version : March 2003 - 22,350 Ecstasy tablets - tip of iceberg?!

Heroin, cocaine and 22,350 Ecstasy tablets with a combined street value of a quarter of a million pounds has been seized from a garden shed in the Manor estate. The police seem to be pleased with the result, but said it only represented the "tip of iceberg"!!

If this is true, then Sheffield must have one hell of a drug problem.

Geoff.

PS. Saw 3 police bikes and 2 "foot" police having a big chin-wag outside Cole Brothers today - so I guess the current initiative isn't over yet.

Mod note: It's a very old thread if you look at the dates. How on earth did you drag this one up? :suspect:

Edit: Various off topic posts removed. Please keep to the point. You can do the kirky's shed funnies in I'm Bored.

Cheers.

Id agree with the fact that its the tip of the ice-berg, if there was one or 2 good nights on in sheffield over a weekend in sheffield id say that the ecstasy would be virtually used up. god knows about the brown or coke.

The World's on heroin.
But why the **** didn't the world try ecstacy before turning to smack?

to be honest, who the hell would keep drugs in the mannor. If you think about it, if you can afford to be dealing in those kind of quantities, then you'd afford a might nice place, somewhere real snazzy.

And all you do is just shofer around your dealing businnes, but then again their druggies, no sense :p

You have to question the wisdom of keeping £250,000 worth of goods in a garden shed, be they class a drugs or otherwise.

Perhaps she is saying that it is a lot less bad for you than heroin - And alcohol and tobacco and just about everything else except tea, khat and coffee.

Do people still take ecstasy? I thought the breweries and alcopurveyors had stamped their dominance on the nightlife market again.

Maybe it has relocated into other markets.

22,350 pills for £250,000 works out at over £11 each! Where the hell do these statistics come from?
