Has anyone else noted the spectacular phenomena where if you are in an amusement arcade or shoe-shop, there is always someone hoovering up?

Weird or what.

No  But I have noticed that it seems to get a job in an Opticians you have to wear glasses!

Or to work on a makeup counter you have to be able to use a trowel to apply said makeup!

Or to be a Landlady you have to wear a dozen gold chains, rings and ear-rings!

Yes. You're right there.

And don't gent's hairdressers, as part of their training, have to be taught to ask "going anywhere nice this year, sir?"

And why are all 19-year-old female shop assistants called Sarah, an 22-year-old one's Natalie?

I find that whenever I call to the chip shop at teatime (not that frequently!) there is always some random woman in there wearing carpet slippers, and more often than not, leggings. Not the same woman you understand, just a woman filling this description! :D

Whevever I go to a chip-shop for fish and chips, there's only one person serving and the person in front of me is ordering whopping great kebabs with everything on them for all the family.
