I made that trip to Vancouver bk in '69. Spent 2 and a half great yrs there then moved out to the east coast of Canada. When I lived in Vancouver, Flyer, you could buy a decent house for $40K. Vancouver is very expansive but i have a good job waiting for me there so we should be ok. I am keeping an eye on the housing market over there just need to sell my home here in the UK. Not always, young kids are just as important, skill could be builder helper Alberta crying for oil field worker maybe best to be single for that job but lots of cash ,just try and see what happerns yogibearuk 20-05-2008, 18:13 I am a plumber/Gas Engineer so for me it wasnt a problem getting a job. I have details of someone in Vancouver who finds work for you and works out if it will be viable for you to gain entry with a skill you have. Just let me know if you need any details. It is a beautifull place and like you said everyone is so friendly. Cant wait to get there,this stupid housing situation in the UK is causing me some problems. |
