In Word:
Click INSERT OBJECT
Select FROM FILE
Select your Excel file
thats excellant but how do i get rid of the excel lines?? so its like a word doc, it's actually a flow diagram
change the colour of the background in excel to white
It does - I must be explaining it wrong.
Just change the cell colours - as soon as you put a colour in the grid lines dissapear.

Works for me. Highlight your cells, change the background colour.
If you can't see the gridlines in Excel they won't show when you import into word.
oh it did work,,, thank you v much...
to get rid of the cells totally select all from the edit menu, go to tables (I think that's the correct menu) and there should be an option "convert to" this will then given you a further option to convert tables to text and text to tables.
