View Full Version : Tyres and MOTs Classic Rock 03-10-2003, 11:50 I need new tyres for my 4x4, can anyone recommend a good non-rip off tyre sales place? Secondly I need to put a 3.5 tonne van through an MOT. Many regular MOT places dont MOT bigger vans. Kwikfit opposite the BMW place on Brookhill are quick, will match any price and do punctures for free if they're not busy. Phanerothyme 04-10-2003, 11:00 I have nothing but the highest praise for Kwik Fit - we also got our insurance through them, and whilst not the cheapes, it has turned out to be very good cover indeed. And yes, they have fixed badly dented wheel rims for free. They take customer care seriously and it shows. I wouldn't hesitate in taking it back there. Classic Rock 06-10-2003, 11:45 I want to MOT a van though, not a car. They need to be able to get the van up onto the lift and have the ability to test the van. Thanks for the tyre suggestions...... I agree about the Charlie Brown comment, I've been almost ripped off by them in the past when they've told me that things are faulty and they're not. Sadly, Challenger have done this too re some brake pads and discs - allegedly worn out, but were not.
