Sorry to disagree, but you're counting your chickens too soon fella.

Leeds willcome unstuck at some stage - lets hope it's at Wembley. You'll not get many on here wanting to know about playing L***s anywhere.

Best derby next year - Blades v Owls, Blades v Barnsley, Blades v Doncaster.

Enjoy the night mate - not many people anywhere else in the country celebrating with you.

Why would anyone want Doncaster to get promoted?

DaMan
15-05-2008, 21:20
I'd say most of South Yorkshire would want Donny to get promoted especially if it is at the expense of L**ds and keeps them in the lower divisions. Love Donny to wipe the smug smiles off Harry and Christa's faces. Come on Donny!!!!!

What he said.

It's not a derby game when a Sheffield team plays L**ds - its vermin control.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing BOTH Sheffield teams taking six points off that club - that is providing they get past Donny/Southend in the final (I would almost swap seeing Wednesday beating 'em, just to see the crying L**ds fans on Look North as Donny thump 'em:hihi::hihi:)

That's a little harsh AM.............. on vermin. :D

I would compare the despatching of L**ds more to the riddance of bodily solids after a night on the pop followed by a Ruby, not a particularly pleasant experience but essential none the less. :hihi:

not really- its a post from a leeds fan asking about derbys next year that leeds could possibly be a part of.

as for following other clubs- i don't think we are- were just looking at the results from the playoffs that are going on now.

Its ok- when you become a proper fan you might understand.

What's your problem Heyesey?

A (dirty) leeds fan comes on here (after being quiet for a good number of weeks) and makes a thinly disguised post on the SHEFFIELD football forum to gloat about leeds.

He finally shows his true colours with antagonistic views about 6 easy points from Wednesday.

People respond to that post and let them know what we feel about Leeds.

I live in Sheffield and lived in Donny for thirteen years. Massive Blade, but when the Blades are away - I'll go to Rovers sometimes.

Tonight was immense - fantastic football, brilliant atmosphere, and I can't wait to see the Rovers in our league. When you see how far they've come, and what crap their fans have had to put up with over the years, you should realise just what it means to them.

It is worth the effort of Blades and Owls to get behind the Rovers next weekend - you just know how sweet it would be if Leeds get what's coming to them, and we get more real derbies next year.

A great little club, with great fans who are well overdue a bit of the 'big time', unlike some clubs we could mention.

I dont see how Doncaster got lucky, they were the best team on the whole in the final, and fully deserved to win.

Leeds fans still seem to think that they are a " big club " , i even hard someone say that they are the third biggest club in England, aside Man Utd and Liverpool :loopy: . Return to reality Leeds fans, you are in League one, and that is were you deserve to be!

:hihi::hihi: Complains about "childish name calling" then calls Frank an "arse".

Anyway, I think L***s will run out of steam next season as MBates has gambled loads of cash in keeping the squad together as well as his reputation on getting them back into the Championship.

I don't believe that they can pull off the same performance next season as this season, already there are one or two players edging their bets:

Jermaine Beckford (L***s top scorer) will leave if someone comes in with the right offer.

Seems that there's some dithering over (the rated) Johnny Howson's contract.

Offering one year deals to younger players trying to break into the team.

Alan Thompson (captain) has called it a day after they farmed him off to Hartlepool.

Rumors about goalkeeper Casper Ankergren wanting to leave in order to keep his international flame alight; will not do him any favors if he stays in league one.

Richardson booed by L***s fans after McAllister switched him to left back, his contract is up in August as are many other player's contracts.

I think they'll have to do a lot of reshuffling in the close season watch out for the exodus.

You've got to ask why Dennis Wise left and why they started losing games when McAllister took over.

There's also the question of their lack of performance when it needed to count in the playoff final.

I think they'll sack McAllister.

You tell me which league anywhere in the world will have an outcome when no one can hope to predict the winners, playoff hopefuls or relegation candiates, even given a plethora of guesses. Which other league has no outstanding teams or can hold your attention from start to finish, where the quality of football is not that bad, and where money doesn't rule the game as much? It's not full of cissy prima donnas, multi multi millionaires and 'diving' experts. As I've said on the new thread I've just started, the Championship is officially, the 4th best league in the WORLD (apparently).

Yes, we can't predict the winners/playoff hopefuls or relegation candidates- but does that necessarily make the league entertaining?

For me it shows how poor the teams in the Championship really are- the league is far too tight and for me not nearly as entertaining as the Premiership.

Believe me igm1, I'm not having a go at you, but would you really have preferred it if say Hull, WBA and Plymouth had broken away from the rest and the three relegated teams been 'down' by February?
Would that really have made the league more entertaining?
Some of the football seen in some of the games may have been mind boggling, but the league would have been over by Christmas.
Wouldn't the Premiership be a lot better 'league' if say Man U, Bolton, Wigan and Everton all went in to the last game of the season with a chance of winning the title? Say whoever won by the biggest margin on the day were crowned Champions, and maybe one of those that lost on the day might not even make the UEFA?

O dear...Elding has been sold to fellow league oners Crew after signing him at the deadline in January and giving him a two and a half year contract.

Quoted by the BBC as: "McAllister's biggest signing". He scored 15 times up to Christmas last year then after the switch to L***s scored only once.

I bet L***s fans aren't looking forward to any games next season let alone local ones...never mind they can always read about em in the local papers.

Do they sell the Star in L***s?

Again, why do you bring everything back to the owls to cover up L**ds' failures?

It could have been Leeds attempting to do the double over the owls but you messed it up. What a shame.

ok mate. the old wembley that i watched united and england play at was pulled down and a new stadium was built on the site. i hav'nt been to the new one only seen it on tele. seeing as your a leeds fan and you was there last month i am simply asking your opinion in what you thought to the new stadium. how are the views, leg room, queues for the bars, pies, toilets. how expensive was the food and drink etc etc etc.

mr_busdriver
18-06-2008, 22:26
OK - heres my opinion.

Views = very good

Leg Room = OK for anyone under 5ft 5

The Experience = Very good, would have been better with 2 teams to grace a staduim of that calibre, however fair play to donny, they got there on merit so they deserved their day out.

Food = Not bad, exspensive tho

Toilets - what you'd expect, unflushed terds etc...

Queues for bars - very busy at Leeds end
