View Full Version : Toilet Humour - Does it have its Place? slimsid2000 02-04-2005, 14:13 Here is a question - does toilet humour have a place in the great panthian of comedy or is it just juvanile and crude? cobaltblue 02-04-2005, 14:17 It is juvenile and crude but it's still funny :D LordChaverly 02-04-2005, 14:39 I have never liked it and have never quite understood why so many people find it funny. I realise though that I am probably in a minority. It is perhaps a little surprising that Mozart, who was capable of producing the most sublime refined and spiritual works of music ever written was very fond of toilet humour - so perhaps the leap between the sublime and the scatalogical is not so great after all. Ant 02-04-2005, 14:44 I'll second that, cobolt. There'll always be a place in my heart for Rik Mayall's Bottom. If you see what I mean. D2J 02-04-2005, 14:50 Motion carried... Everything does have a time a place though! Not whilst one is eating for example :suspect: owdlad 02-04-2005, 14:52 I agree that in the right company and at the right time toilet humour can be funny, there are however times when it just makes your cringe. This is a bum thread anyhow, and will no doubt be the butt of some arty farty types crap jokes :P slimsid2000 02-04-2005, 14:55 Originally posted by owdlad I agree that in the right company and at the right time toilet humour can be funny, there are however times when it just makes your cringe. Good point. I think that Tony Blair now regrets putting that whoopie cushion on the throne just before the state opening of parliament. Her Majesty looked furious when she sat down - a face like thunder! Rumour has it that if he repeats the offence she'll set the corgies on him. Ant 02-04-2005, 14:55 Yeah, Owdlad. The crude posts will be plopping into view very soon, keep your eyes peeled. Fareast 02-04-2005, 15:14 Slimsid No , Her Majesty's used to it by now. She was once driving to the Palace in that coach she uses , with this huge African Dignitary , sitting at her side. Suddenly , one of the horses let out a huge fart. The Queen was really embarrassed and said, " Oh , I do apologise " The African Dignitary , beamed and smiled and patted her hand . "It's o.k sweetheart . In fact , I thought it was the horse ". Ant 02-04-2005, 15:16 ...bum! bum! ...sorry. 1_HotGal 02-04-2005, 16:16 I think some people may view it as 'bear faced cheek' and say that we're 'talking out of our ar$&'s', no pun intended, but who cares, it still can be very funny indeed  Kristian 02-04-2005, 16:31 I think the popularity of this (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30782&highlight=farting%2A) thread shows tolet humour certainly has a place on the SF! :D K x |
