Hello. Has anyone seen any crabapple trees for sale anywhere around Sheffield recently? I would like one for my front garden, but don't know which nursery to visit.

I have one and you are quite welcome to take a cutting from it. But, they look beautiful for about 2 weeks of the year, then just look like a dirty tree. Birds love them though!

I bought one from Lidls in the autumn. I think they get them in reasonably regularly - cost me around £5 from memory.

Ooh thank you both.
I'm thinking now about what Titian said. I was thinking about the pretty flowers, but you are right. I had forgotten that they are quite cranky looking trees!

What I'm trying to do is find a feature for my little front garden. I have two peonies and a jasmine but there's a lot more space and I don't want everything the same height. Does anyone have any suggestions? I do have an acer in a pot out the back which I could plant but then everything might be a bit too red...

What about a bay tree?
