Does anyone else get hacked off with this programme? This lunchtime the main items were Leeds playing at Carlisle tonight and the new arena that is going to be built in Leeds. I know we are in Sheffield but there was not even a mention about Hulls victory last night that put them into the play offs for the Premiership. I am sure they must choke when they have to mention any other part of Yorkshire other than Leeds.:rant:

I noticed that they didn't show anything about Hull's victory as well. Yet they had a full 5 or 6 minute segment the night before just on BBC Radio Leeds not having the football commentary anymore coz the Ken Bates owned Yorkshire Radio has got it (they didn't mention that bit)

Bigger city greener city better people and many more reasons look leeds does not want to report on a splendid place, As for as leeds traffic dont even get me started try going anywhere near the airport (tea time) and at least bradford has a bit of culture :hihi:

BBC still has a small studio in the building on Shoreham street, it is only used for interviews into either BBC News or Look North. The plain truth of it is though is that the journalists etc. are based there and it's easier for them to collect new information on a short time-scale in their own city.

Is bloody annoying though.

They'll report on anything except Sheffield. Most of the time we don't even get a mention on the weather map.

Sheffield gets so little mention that I moved here from Leeds just to see what it's like. I expected a run-down industrial mess, but it's actually not bad.

Anyway, the winter gardens is clearly shown on the intro to Look L..sorry, Look North, so shut yer bloody moaning. Flippin' dee-dahs, yer hardly even in Yorkshire and yer gettin' all big in yer boots. Yer can't even pronounce 'ginnel' reyt. ;)

I have cable t.v. and on channel 870 I get the local Calender, mainly sheffield and Leeds very rarely gets a mention Im glad to say.

Let's face it ....this city has gone down the pan big time !!

Leeds on the other hand is vibrant,bustling,welcoming etc..........

Travel up on a regular basis not only for the football and have to say it blinds Sheffield
for a night out/shopping etc...

Sheffield has always had a big chip on its shoulder where Leeds is concerned !!


Just hope the mighty whites can get the result tonight !!!


And before anyone says anything about me not being at the match........i've just finished an important job at work and will be watching on sky !!

Actually my biggest gripe is that they rarely report bad news from Leeds only good, while the reverse is true for Sheffield.

We could really do with having a Sheffield edition of the show, because I couldn't care less what Ricky Wilson and his kiddie-tune peddling band of chancers are doing at Leeds town hall.

Dont even bother watching either of em,they only ever report on bad news from Sheffield or Minor good news

I did see a report on Look North about a big property deveoper in Leeds going into administration, but generally I don't watch either Look North or Calendar anymore due to their bias.

Nice to see that Christa has seen sense over the silly haircut she has had for ages now....it didn't suit her and she has now gone back to a shorter style that is far more flattering.

Maybe it was just a mid life crisis....she has toned down her weird dress sense too and I think she maybe looking a little less orange too :D

I live at Jordanthorpe and can't even get the local bit of the local news. I know what time high tide at Hull is, but nowt about what happens near here.

We don't even get freeview for God(TM)'s sake.
