Hi im 35 or 36 weeks pregnant and was supposed to have an appointment at 34 weeks. my midwife is not working till tuesday the 20th. Should I just wait to make an appointment then or is there a drop in clinic?

Depending on which doctors your with there may be a drop in clinic. I'm at Crystal Peaks and they have one every Fri. I dont think all areas have them though

I havent seen my midwife at all apart from when she filled my book in when i found out i was pregnant (19 weeks ago). But i have been to 3 different drop in centers. Are you with sure start? If not just ask about or phone your midwife and ask her if theres any so you dont have to rely on her.

I have seen mine twice in total. I have just phoned one of the other midwife numbers to ask what to do. She asked me why I hadnt seen her. Well if i knew when to phone to make an appointment I would have done. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My MW was really evasive at first - she gave me her mobile number at my booking appointment and then never answered it, I had to make my appointments through the doctors and after the 16 week one they told me they no longer dealt with it. Now I make the next appointment at the end of the one I'm currently at. I went to my 24 week one last week (I was 25 weeks though :hihi: ) and made my 28 week one (when I'll be 29 weeks lol) before I left.

Next time you see her, bug her eyes out until she gives you the next one.

Hi, I think the nearest drop in for your area is at Fairlawns surgery in middlewood road, not sure when though. If you ring your surgery they should be able to let you know.

The drop-in clinic for Tramways is every friday at 1pm - 2:30pm (and as amzy says, at Fairlawns). We've just started going to that with baby Annabel, no idea if it's for ante-natal care too, but if nothing else then there will be midwives to collar for an appointment :)
