We went to Mao tonight (on London Road) and thought it was really good. The food was lovely (though more expensive than other places) and the decor was really beautiful. The staff were attentive and overall it was a good night out. We ordered off the evening menu but will probably go back and sample the lunch menu (mainly dim sum).

London Road just keeps getting better all the time. Haven't been to Mao myself - but the choice of eateries keeps expanding. I had a meal at the Chilean place a few weeks ago - great food at reasonable prices. Top notch. :thumbsup:

Went to Mao tonight. Didnt think much of it..very average, nothing spectacular about it, portions were small and was abit too pricey for what it was. Staff were attentive but there was only 2 tables inclucding us.
Only good thing about the restaurant was the decor.

ive seen the menu and they do have a section for veggies.

I've been & had a lovely meal. We're taking a group next month. I know they definitely have a vegetarian set menu as I've booked that so am sure they have plenty of veggie stuff on the menu.
