Always a sad time of year for some players. But overall, only two of these were first teamers - Wallwork (who only ever played one really decent game for us) and BOB (who has not really cut it despite being here a good few years) - and neither of them were the first choice in their relative positions, so no great impact on us really.

I'd have kept BOB, we're really short on midfield and he's an adequate backup.

I think BoB was not a first team regular and never would be, as for Burch not seen enough of him to judge really. Bullen as we all know is a player who gives 100% but comming to the end of his career, Ronnie Nowork as his name says not good enough, the youngsters i can not comment as i have never seen them play

You do need some backup/squad players, though .. although maybe this guy isn't one that you need.

Incidentally, Wednesday pocket a spare £250,000 as part of the deal that took Brunt (was it Brunt?) to West Brom, since they've secured promotion. Bit of good news there, at least.

Laws says he should be able to get 2 or 3 more players now

So i think waddle and hirst are still playing sunday league football £20 each
so who can owls get for £30 a week:hihi::hihi:

That will be our wage budget gone:hihi:

If it hadn't been accounted for already, but unfortunately in the wisdom of the current Wednesday board the money has already been accounted for and effectively spent.

We don't know if thats budgeted towards wages, the transfer kitty or flood defenses for the coming monsoon season.

so if west brom had failed to gain promotion , wednesday would have overspent by £250,000 sounds like bad housekeeping to me .

the one that makes me laugh mac is the article in the star where wednesday say they have plans to get more fans into the games .
yeh right put the prices up beyond the reach of their supporters . It's the ken bates theory at leeds , bung the prices sky high , get less people in to police but take the same ammount of money .

They wouldn't have overspent.

The story in The Star stated that Wednesday were aware of the fact that they would receive the extra £250,000 IF WBA were promoted, and had included this conditionally in their budgets, and that it wasn't an 'unexpected' bonus.

I wonder if all the United fans had plans for the promotion money they all said they were gonna get this season.

I... Ronnie Nowork as his name says not good enough..,
I don't think you could accuse him of that in the first game against United, when he had a stormer.

But admittedly, he's not done a lot since.

Like a lot of "experineced" players he needed more willing younger legs around him, especially when it came to playing 2 games a week; hence one of the reasons why Kavanagh and he didn't gel together, but put one of them wity Mcallister and it did.
That was especially noticable in the away game at Bristol.

Wasn't aware that the fans were expecting any promotion money.
I do believe though that the club are supposed to be getting a second parachute payment after going down from the PL. :|

I thought Wallwork did well when he played.

Its a bit of a stab in the back for him to be released............:suspect:

To be fair Wallwork had just the one decent game and that was against United, he was lacklustre in other appearances, a couple of good midfield players are needed desperately for next season but I'm struggling to think of any better (championship quality), than the two we let go last season....Brunt and Whelan.

You are kidding mate, the last time that I saw them play at Brunsmeer a couple of years back Hirst was in goal and Waddle was at centre back. Both looked as though they had been on the pies and I haven't seen either play since.
