Download The Grid Demo really good.

Burnout Paradise is really amazing too but in a different way to PGR4..

PGR4 all the way , online its awesome . I played it with the wheel a few times aswell and at first it didnt seem all that impressive but after sticking with it a while i wouldnt be without it now .

Test Drive Unlimited was good fun for driving around 1000 miles of real roads in a variety of super cars.

PGR4 and Test Drive Unlimited. DiRT is ok but I'd take the other two over it. I also adore Ridge Racer 6, but a lot of people don't 'get' the RR mechanic of taking every corner at full speed at a 90 degree angle to the road.

As for Need For Speed, Most Wanted was ok if you're into high speed pursuits, Carbon and ProStreet were rubbish.

For online play I love Burnout Revenge, can't sya i've played many others, but it's great fun!

But it's 2.5 years old and a new version has come out. I tried to play Revenge online a few months ago and it took me forever to get a game, there's nobody online anymore, they've all gone to Paradise.

To be honest i've not played it since COD4 came out, when I can get on the xbox i'm always on COD4 now.

Burnout Paradise is a nice concept but the games a bit shallow underneath the cover, I also have to agree with beansforyou - COD4 is just a game i cant put down, i dont even touch GTA, PG4 anymore because of it.

im going to suggest gta4 as the best driving game. its so much fun just driving around the city and getting police chases..

Test Drive Unlimited: Don't be put off by the tag of "MMOR" because there's a SUBSTANTIAL offline racing which had me and my mate on this for months!!! Really good game, lovely graphics, loads of cars and additional activites. More realistic feel to the cars but not to a Forza level

Need for Spped: As someone has allready mentioned, the first one (most Wanted) was fun but the enxt two have been so crap its not worth even renting!

PGR4: This was dissapointing for me...you really have to enjoy the "KUDOS" system to enjoy this game...otherwise you'll get pisse doff like me when you win a race cleanly but don't "actually" win because you didn't skid enough or stop and pull a donut!!! Grrr...

DIRT: Fantastic game: Kept em busy for ages, loads of different "classes", great handling graphics and damage and you can pick it up **** cheap now!
