View Full Version : Has Sainsburys got cider on offer?
neeeeeeeeeek 13-05-2008, 10:13 I was in Stroud at the weekend and Sainsburys had nearly all cider on offer... Has anyone been in one in Sheffield recently? Has it got the same offers do you know? Being stranded up by the airport means I can't easily pop out and check.
Cheers
:)
BasilRathbon 13-05-2008, 10:15 Ooh, I've got a link for this.

slickwitch 13-05-2008, 10:20 I saw that they'd got MAgners cans on offer but I didn't look how much they were. This was Archer Road branch.

I'm tempted to ask Slick if she likes pork in cider. Do you think I should?
neeeeeeeeeek 13-05-2008, 10:22 Magners.... tut! They had nearly all cider on offer, Westons Organic at £1.25, 20-30% off most of them.
WHY didn't I stock up.
:(

Ooooooh! I'm so sorry! It was the very specific thread title which said "Do Sainsburys have cheap snobby cider" that I must have missed!:suspect:

Just because you can only drink babysham and snowballs does not mean the rest of us are in early retirement!
BasilRathbon 13-05-2008, 10:28 And what's all this "pear cider" nonsense? Surely every connoisseur knows that the equivalent of cider but made from pears instead of apples is "perry"?
That's not an answer.
Sorry- I don't shop in Sainsburys but I am partial to a decent cider. You have my sympathies, whereas I'd have missed the offer anyway.
*smiles internally about the 3l of Westons in the fridge*

Get yourself to the Dram Shop in Commonside and purchase their finest bottle of Kerisac - A fine Breton cider which is both tasty and would kill an alcoholic wildebeest :D
Very, very good stuff.

Yeah that bugs me too. It's like rebranding wine as 'grape beer'.
