After seeing the Love Bytes thread it reminded me of something my mum once said to my best friend who was sporting quite a large one on her neck (quite proudly as I remember)
"If you are going to have one of those horrible things you should have it where you can`t see it"
which as teenagers made us giggle at the rude implications.
So I was just wondering I don`t see many these days (or am I just not looking ) did everyone take my mums advice?
I also remember one girl at school having her boyfriends name across her chest done in love bites, classy bird eh?
does anyone else have any lovebite stories?
I was questioned by my Grandma years ago about 'the mark on my neck' !!
I told her I'd been hit by a golf ball...she believed me!!!!!
What was the toothpaste and foundation concoction going to cover up?
I remember one winter going for a walk in hathersage with my mum, i had to wear a hugh polo neck jumper to cover up love bites on either side of my neck.. she commented on how pleased she was i had dressed sensibly for the weather lol!

I think every girls wardrobe had to have at least 1 polo neck jumper.Just in case.
my mum used to have a fit at me whenever I had love bites, giving me a lecture about how they can cause blood clots and kill you :?
my ex just got cheeky and left them in naughty places :heyhey: inside of leg, chest... tut tut!

Everyone's mothers must have said the same thing ....
but did anyone ever hear of anyone getting a blood clot and dying from a love bite?
This should be on the "things mums says" thread as well jayjay
:P
My sister and I have just had some nasty marks immortalised in my wedding pics - hers are from lugging a heavy sports bag and mine are from clay pigeon shooting :D
And I don't care coz I've found something new I'm good at  and it were reet gud fun
Anyway - I could never see the point of love bites. They only seem to be a way of marking territory, and I never fancied being treated the way a dog treats a lamppost

My mate used to say to his mum he had been hit with a golfball, had an allergic reaction to perfume, his mates twisted his skin, an allergy to tinned meat. He stopped telling lies a few days later when he died of a bloodclot.
