I think the adverts on late-night TV are the worst (although the adverts for local firms which involve LOTS OF SHOUTING are a close second). The worst of the late-night ads is the one that starts "Grab your phone and join arr pardy". Are some people allergic to the letter T?

I've heard that it's a deliberate take-off of the dubbed foreign adverts, although for what reason I don't know. I don't mind it so much.

The ads that spring to mind are: The recent confused.com (I think it was them) 'You could win a million pounds, just by getting a quote online!', for the sheer smug patronising look on the bloke's face. I would like to hit him with a sledgehammer (and I am a nice, quiet person usually).

Also the latest Gilette ad. How can you get two of the world's GREATEST sports' stars (and Thierry Henry) and put them in such an AWFUL advert? If you're going to fork out the appearance fees for them three, surely you spend more than £20 on the script itself? I swear down it was dreamed up by the Accounts and Finance department.

Special mention to Lenny Henry and whatever cheap motel chain it is. Inane and pathetic. He used to be funny once.

I'm sure I overheard a TV ad from the kitchen this afternoon which said "...three steps to get natural looking toenails..." but by the time I got into the room it had finished!
