Just a quick note to thank all of you who 'fell' for the joke moderators area. I will reinstate those threads that were started this morning and merge them in to here (you will seem them above this message as they were posted earlier but then hidden). The joke forum has now been closed as I believe if you do an 'April Fools' prank after 12pm then it's you that is the 'fool'.

I will upload some screen shots for those who missed it. In the meantime how many things did you notice were 'off'... there were a few anagrams and something to do with the e-mail addresses...

...and of course the dummy Policy guide for moderators - I even had some complaints from people who thought that it was the real deal...

Ah well, back to work...

very good. I didn't even think of it being an April fools.

I spotted it was a april fool straightaway, but then I am mod on another forum so knew what to expect.

Easiest way to tell is to log out, and look in as a guest. Guest account is a different userrgroup entirely, so it would be highly unlikely for it to mess up on both user groups.

(Oh dear I suspect the above is rather a geeky comment :loopy: )

Well, the beginnings of the email addresses spelled something like 'don't be an April fool' and the words that were left in the threads said 'happy April fools days'... I think... and the sign in name as someone has mentioned.

Didn't bother looking round, just read my new posts.

I wasn't even going to bother looking in the moderators forum, glad I did tho as the posts were funny :D

Well, it conned me at first as well.

But at 6-45 my brain is not functioning well and that's my oly excuse! :)

I didnt get them all at first...

I thought something was a bit dodgy, but I was kinda tired, didn't twig till I read the post "....... Happy ...... " then i twigged and read the rest and it was confirmed...

went back to the other threads.... password was anagram from "april fools"... and the emails said funny things too, haven't figured them all yet though
