Italian farmers have anounced that their Spaghetti crop yields will be really low this year due to the unusually mild winter they've had in the north of the country. Looks like there'll be a worldwide shortage of spaghetti because Italian farmers produce over 90% of the worlds spaghetti crop.
The Italian agricultural department are blaming global warming and Berlosconi is in talks with Bush over his Kyoto stance which will further sour recent relations between the two countries.
The BBC pulled this one a few years ago, whole news report and everything.
We started buying organic spaghetti from a nice deli in Broomhill years ago and it does taste so much nicer when it's home grown.
If more people grew their own spaghetti like my Dad does at his allotment there would be no shortage and children wouldn't be obese.
The Italians have grown their own for years and you never see fat Italian children.

Thats because they press them to re-extract the olive oil, thats where virgin olive oil comes from, once they have sex they stop pressing them.

How do they get extra virgin olive oil?
Flipping 'eck. I didn't know that!
It would explain why the Catholic Church is so strong in Italy, and why they have a big deal with contraception and sex outside marriage.
It also explains why they have a Polish Pope.

Is this yet another April Fools joke? What's wrong with British wheat? Look's like a case for Roy James to get involved in :D
Actually, I've noticed (or rather, not noticed) the annual floods in Northern Italy this winter didn't appear to happen...or perhaps I wasn't paying attention to the News :loopy:

Well I'm sure Bush will bring Berlusconi around to his way of thinking...

Is this yet another April Fools joke? What's wrong with British wheat? Look's like a case for Roy James to get involved in I've just been reading up about it on the BBC website. Apparently it's because the glue content is too high in British Wheat ® and since we went into the EU we have had restrictions on glue exports, so China is conering the market in Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
