Can anyone find ANYTHING on this hopeless site? The search never returns any results even if you type in somethign like "car" and search from Januray 1995 it finds nothing! Its really difficult to navigate round and has no stories! Or is it just me?

Yes, I only deleted it from my bookmarks last week after realising that it was a complete waste of space.

It used to be quite good i recall? Some years ago when it was thisissheffield.net?? Or was that just my imagination?? :suspect:

But really - if your going to do a news site do it properly!

It gives you a dozen of the lead stories in The Star each day.
I'm not saying that The Star is the best paper around, but its not bad for free!

Now if you are talking about using the classifieds on the site to search for an item to buy or a job, then I agree that they are virtually useless.

So you pay to look at the website? I don't.

I agree about the search engine, but also don't forget that only articles published on the website will be found. Not all articles published in the paper.

Guess what? I just went to try and test something on the "article search" .... Service not available at the moment, please try again later.

You must have upset them! :D

If they put everything on the website for free why would anyone buy the paper?

Why anyone does read it is beyond me. And they put it on the web too do they? Amazing.

I've tried to search the Star's website several times, and the search function has NEVER worked!
