Despite Hawkings, it looks like a good show
Hawking says no to Big Brother
The University scholar and scientist Professor Stephen Hawking has reportedly wheeled out of Celebrity Big Brother leaving producers in crisis after turning down £750,000 to appear.
The BBC claim that the reality show's producers still need to find three more star contestants or else the show will be in jepardy when it returns in November 2005.
A spokesman for C4 said it can now reveal that the confirmed line-up so far includes Prince Harry, Maxine Carr, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Aaron Barschak, Glenn Hoddle and The Yorkshire Ripper.
Celebrities who are said to be involved in negotiations to join the show are Alistair Campbell, Liza Minnelli, and Jonathan King.
Stars who have reportedly turned down offers to appear include Tim Henman and Osama Bin Laden.
An insider at producers Endemol told The BBC today: "There is still a panic to sign up celebrities. We were desperate to get Professor Hawking to keep viewers tuned in, but he was busy with a number of cosmology commitments in America."
can't wait....
