How many of you ride your bike on trackdays as well as or instead of on the road?
Given the state of Sheffield road trackdays are the only place to use a sports bike these days.
Still this close to some brilliant biking roads I find it difficult to give up the road riding.
Any thoughts?

I did some racing a couple of years back and paid a visit to 3 Sisters in Wigan which is a good track. However, i ride supermoto and think that sports bikes may be a bit hampered by this place.
I did the day-after-boxing-day track day at Donington in 2006 and have got to admit i enjoyed it - think it was about £80 at the time and i got to use the "number 1" garage to make my day even better!!
Bike got eaten up by sports bikes on the back straight but i made the time up elsewhere :loopy:!
Its a good way of getting rid of the temptation to nail it on our local roads!
Where do you ride?

Yeah - Supermoto's are fun on the right track. Played with a few over the years, great through twist corners.
I used to race in the KRC endurance series a few years back, Currently ride a GSXR750K3 which I have owned from new, longest time I have ever owned a single bike, but it does everything from commuting to trackdays and the nurburgring to european trips. love it.
Looking to get a Triumph speed triple or KTM Superduke next year.
Trackdays - well I have just about ridden them all. Oulton Park is a favourite. Been to Cadwell and Doningion with Rockingham soon.
And you're right playing on track does make you think about your riding on the road.

Sounds like you've got the right idea! I think i should get rid of the moto and get a sports bike - can go a little bit further than to the end of the street and back!
Just keep it safe and there'll be plenty of enjoyment to be had on yer bike!
