Hi,
Anyone know of any late licence bar's or pub's in sheff city center for those nights when you don't fancy a club but 11pm's too early.
Anything music neutral would be good, by that i just mean not specifcally any genre but a mix of different things.

carcrash 31-03-2005, 15:18 The Earl will have a 2 am license from next week, A range of nights take place there already on a 2 week rotation. Open mic nights, gigs, Northern soul, electronica, techno, Drum and bass, Indie.
It also has a free 12 foot snooker table

Nipped in there last Thursday when I was waiting for the Leadmill queue to go down.. Can't say I enjoyed it at all! Took absolutely ages to get served, very bright (like my bars a bit darker, hides my face :hihi: ) and all the guys were looking at me funny if you know what I mean :|

Yeah I like Matrix, very stylish, clean place with a good mix of people.. Bit expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Never been on a thursday so cant comment, does get a bit full of the "art" croud on the weekend.

Art isn't the word I'd use.. Probably more like "camp"...

Saturday is hosted by NY sushi, so you have hiphop, breaks, drum n bass.
Friday not to sure only been once and i was slighty drunk.

And they don't charge to get in on a Saturday either?

That does strike me as odd... then I suppose it is slightly out of town and not really a patch on some of the west street / division street bars ;)

What nights are Northern soul and indie,cheers!
Best late night places are Tequila, Takapuna and possibly Casbah - but avoid the last place on Thursdays. Total dive!!!!
Friday nights at Tequila is soulphisticated night - greats election of music. Great food and comfortable atmsophere. £1 after 10pm.

You are spoilt for choice on fridays wether you want to dine in the restaurant and enjoy there new menu, or just chill in the lounge, or dance the night away listening to sophisticated music
