investigator 31-03-2005, 10:27 I find all of these are consistent...
Kiveton Hall Farm
KJS Fisheries
Aston Ponds
Straight Mile
Gear Lane (at Ford)
Shirebrook
Horseshoe pond (killamarsh)
If you live in Woodhouse then all of these are close by. Owdlad's Killamarsh Fisheries are good too if it's the one i'm thinking of (just past the bend up the hill and on your left).
dan_mitch1 31-03-2005, 10:28 you cannot fish at shirebrook anymore because of a lad that got shocked by the overhanging telephone wires
and used to fish it nearly everyday we hd off skool in the summer lol
barlow fisheries thru dronfield is ok when the wheather gets warmer also dam flask, you didnt say if you had a car or used public transport so dont know what distance you can travel
I've never been too keen on many places in Sheffield. In my angling days Worsbrough Reservior was the about the closest to Sheffield that I used to go and sometimes Fleets Dam.

tallanddopey 04-07-2009, 09:09 can i just ask a question of allt he guys that have mentioned KJS fisheries, have you been in the last few years regurlarly? i used to go a lot and it was a great venue, the only problem it was infested with rats, and there was rubbish everywhere because the owner didnt seem to care. has this changed? if so i might start going again as it was a good place, with some decent fish.
as for fisheries. (im not too good with there proper names)
Hayfield (Doncaster)
straight mile
aston ponds
Kiveton
marshals (i think its changed its name, these last few years) EDIT: it may be called loxley fisheries
wiremill dam (used to be free, but i still think its cheep)
hill top farm fisheries (i cant remember if thats its name or the road its on)(gets windy though)
and there are a crap load more i can picture in my mind but cant put a name too.

The guy who owns KJS also owns Aston Ponds and West End (killamarsh).
carpman-20lb 15-07-2009, 16:26 just a matter of fact. ken (owner of kjs)owns only 5 ponds on aston ponds they are three new ponds on the right hand side of the main drive and the large one and small one below the cafe . the ponds further up from the cafe are owned by a chap called alex

you could be right - but i thought they were in it together tbh. It's a similar scenario over in Killamarsh. Someone claims Alex owns West End and Ken KJS.
