We have found a student time table this morning, Thurs 2nd Oct
outside our shop on commonside. It looks like the student is studying a science subject.
There is a lot of info on it which I would think is valuable to the owner.
It is in the shop at 99 Barber Road if it's yours or you know who it belongs to.
which university is it? i work at sheffield hallam university...

I wouldn't worry about it, whose ever it is will probably get a new one, or photocopy another off a mate
that'll be Sheffield University. i wouldn't worry too much. students can print off their timetables numerous times online~!

PHYxxx means it's a Physics department student - David Hughes is a world renowned astronomer and astro-physicist who teaches in the Phyisics/Astronomy dept.
If I remember correctly, David Hughes built a v.expensive satellite that was lost at launch when the rocket it was on blew up!

How refreshing to find some folk out there who are prepared to go the extra mile - especially seeing as the person from Sheffield University wont be any the wiser.
Chances are that as a previous comment made stated - it will be readily available for that student to print off their student intranet homepage. Failing that you have three options:
1 there may be a student number on the sheet, which case if you handed it into reception at Sheffield Uni it will be forwarded to the course leader of the student - for it then to possibly be returned
2 you can use some pritt stick and plaster it on the window of the Hadfield Pub - i am sure the student is likely to spend a fair bit of time in there / fox and duck in broomhill
3 bin it, and go to sleep knowing that you tried your hardest
PS if the student is a first yr, they probably wouldnt be grateful to receive it back again or the trouble that you went to!!
nice points but i seriously wouldnt worry. they'll print another one off the net/intranet.
nice of u for trying though.

You could always turn up at the first lecture outlined on the timetable and stand at the front and ask the class who the timetable belongs to......
ah come on! surely the whole class would have the same timetable!
really guys u are worrying a bit too much.

I aint going to lose sleep over it.
I have put a sign in the window so if the owner walks past on a regular basis hopefuly they will see it.
If not well thats life, at least I've learnt that Sheffield has a renowned astronomer and astro-physicist :)
