We must be talking about a different photo. I do not recall a Robert Malton.
I am referring to the picture of J4a at Grimesthorpe Juniors 1960/61
jackbowler 31-07-2006, 21:39 I went to Grimesthorpe Junior starting about 1963 and remember Mr. Jeremy the school crossing man. He used to stand outside the school bang adjacent to the outdoor boys toilet opposite the Grimesthorpe club, and some lads tried to pee over the wall on to his hat as I recall......bad lads!!!!
A great little school though, sports days were a hoot, traipsing all the way up Wincobank Hill with a load of hockey sticks and balls and hoops 'cos that was the nearest playing field!!
Remember the public baths in Sutherland Road we all went to with the changing stalls situated next to the pool, never a dry foot to be seen.
Jack Bowler aged 50 and a quarter.

wendywoo3 31-01-2010, 16:13 I went to Grimesthorpe Juniors, 1968 - 1971 I think and then a year at Whiteways i can't remember many teachers
Mr Langley - really tall man with dark glasses nicknamed me Wendy Wobbles (I was overweight)
Miss Boyd.. later married and became Mrs Cundle....our classroom was in prefabs at the back she used to read to us on the grass round the back I was devasted when she moved away. She gave us her address to write..don't think i ever did Muskoka Avenue..I thought it was the other end of the country..many years later found it is other side of Sheffiled. I still have the Black Beauty Book she gave me when she left....a treasured possession..wonder is she is still around and realises she had such and impact? I have always had great love of reading since and passed to my daughters.
Mrs Jackson....as well as Mrs Cundell the reason I went into teaching late in life...what an actress she was! Purple suits, black wigs and cartwheels down the classroom.

Hi Walt I must show this photo to our Janice when I next see her. I think I've seen it on the grimesthorpe thread was trying to post a photo on there from photobucket but having probs, thought the photo might generate some chat from those of my generation who haven't been on for ages e.g nettiej, flo fennel, doyle and hindy to mention but a few. I also remember mrs Haresign and Mr Winlow from Grimesthorpe Juniors.
