At the weekend I bought "The Gentle Art of Domesticity" by Jane Brokcett, from Past Times. It was £25 down to £8. I bought it for my friend to take to her birthday party in Brighton, but I didnt get to go because my car died on the way. So I've kept the book as consolation.
Its lovely. Its all about making cakes, crocheting, knitting, sewing and making lovely things. Its really inspiring and has some beautiful and some quirky pictures of things that Jane Brockett has created, plus some great recipes and ideas. its a frivolous book, but I love it.
Has anyone else got a book they'd like to to recommend?
