Well I finally got my bunny! Thanks to Angie at Barnsley rescue for her help - and Sooz for getting me into the bunny thing (I might need a little female friend for him Sooz - keep your eyes out!)
He's flopped in the corner of his cage after having a busy afternoon. We brought him home in a cat carrier and left it with the door open so he could come out in his own time. Mistake number 1...... couldn't get him back into any sort of confinement as everywhere was somewhere to explore. :hihi:
He seemed very relaxed and found a little spot to flump down on and had a little rest (I took that as a positive sign), then it was back to bunnying around and jumping over us (we layed on the floor so he could come near us without us looking big and scary) and nibbling my OH's toes (explain that one)
He's in his cage now (tiring day) sprawled out having first covered it in a liberal layer of poo (which has been tidied up and put in his litter tray)
I gave him a handful of pellets mid afternoon (a sort of lunch time welcome home, yes we do feed you sort of dinner) a stick of celery, an inch of carrot and a little brocolli. I'm worried I'll over feed him, but he's hoovered the lot (but not touched water really - he is aware that it is there) and I don't want to leave it until tea time tomorrow to feed. Perhaps someone bunny minded can put me back on the right path :)
He's a right little minx and has found a favourite perch already - on a shelf under a table.
Can't wait for him to be properly housetrained and free roaming - he's going to make a wonderful houserabbit and bestest friend for both of us (and the hamster - although he was scared of the noises it was making earlier :p)
Any little tips would be lovely. As he's a rescue bun (only a few months old as was part of an unwanted litter that they couldn't find a home for) he deserves to have the best life he can, and I want to give him that but am worried that I'll make him miserable unintentionally.
Thank you :D
